Coles Cottage is in a sheltered location in Derriton, a quiet hamlet just outside the small market town of Holsworthy, in north-west Devon. It is close to Bude with it's superb beaches and shops, with magnificent coastline walks both north and west.
Morwenstowe, Wellcombe, Hartland, Clovelly, Westward Ho and Bideford are to the north of Bude, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Tintagel are all close by to the west. To the south there is Roadford lake, Okehampton and Launceston with their castles, with Dartmoor beyond.
Holsworthy still has one of the largest cattle markets in the south-west (every Wednesday).
It's a ten minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to the nearby Waitrose superstore. Holsworthy town centre has a CO-OP that opens late, it has Chinese and Indian takeaways, cafes and a selection of pubs catering for all tastes.
Changeover day is Saturday. You can arrive any time after 3pm.
